Safety Features

Emergency Stop

The designed of the Emergency is compliance to the following standards:

• EN 60204-1 - Emergency stop and emergency shutdown is defined as emergency switches

  • Emergency STOP – category 0 or 1

  • Emergency Shutdown Stop category 0 only

• EN 954-1 - Redundant conformity is provided with an enabling switch and an emergency stop switch. The emergency stop switch is a three-pole switch (3PST-NC), with a DPST-NC contact structure and a SPST-NC contact structure for an emergency stop notification signal.
   

Enabling Switches

Enabling Switch is used when the following standards are required:

• ANSI/RIA R15.06 and CSA/Z434-03 Industrial Robot Standards

• ANSI/B11.19 Machine Tool Standards

The enabling switch makes it easier to avoid danger with no conscious decision by a worker. When work is required in hazardous areas, e.g, during maintenance, devices with enabling switches provide an important safety measure by preventing unexpected operations from occurring while work is underway in the those areas.
 

Function Switches

NSH5 comes with 10 Functional Switches, with 4 hardwire outputs, which enable direct control via the switches.

Other functional keys can be used as interfacing key to NSH5.
