Question
Tell me about contact reliability for micro loads.
Answer
Contact resistance is an issue when switching micro loads. Even if the
contact resistance is randomly high, it is sometimes restored with the
next operation. Contact resistance can also rise due to the formation of a
contact coating. The criteria for judging contact resistance as a fault is
whether or not it causes a problem in the circuit being used.
Because of this, only the initial value for
the fault standard of the relay's contact resistance is specified, and the
fault rate for the smallest applicable load is expressed, for example, by
the minimum permissible load (reference value) as a guideline. Also, note
that some relay contacts are suited to micro-load switching, and some are
not.
